At Sri Selvam Nagai Maligai, we are committed to ensuring your complete satisfaction with every purchase. We understand that buying jewellery is a meaningful decision, and we strive to make every experience seamless and trustworthy.
Please read this Refund Policy carefully before making a purchase. By purchasing from us, you agree to the terms outlined below.
Exchange Policy
We offer a lifetime exchange on all gold jewellery purchased from Sri Selvam Nagai Maligai, subject to the following conditions:
- The jewellery must be accompanied by the original purchase bill and BIS Hallmark certificate.
- Jewellery must be in its original condition — no damage, alterations, or resizing by a third party.
- Exchange value will be based on the prevailing gold rate on the date of exchange, minus applicable making charges.
- Exchanged jewellery will be assessed by our in-house experts before value is determined.
- Exchange is applicable only for gold jewellery; gemstone and diamond pieces are subject to separate assessment.
Buyback Policy
We offer gold buyback at competitive market rates. The buyback amount will be calculated based on:
- Current gold market rate (MCX/IBJA rate) on the date of buyback.
- Purity of gold as determined by our hallmarking assessment.
- A deduction of up to 3–5% for melting and refining charges.
- Stones and diamonds, if any, will be returned to the customer or valued separately.
✦ Please carry a valid government-issued photo ID and the original bill for all buyback transactions.
Return & Refund Eligibility
Cash refunds are provided in the following limited circumstances:
- The item received has a manufacturing defect confirmed by our quality team.
- The item delivered does not match the confirmed order specifications.
- Return request is initiated within 7 days of the purchase date.
- The jewellery is unused, unworn, and returned in its original packaging with all certificates and bills.
Refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days via the original payment method or as a store credit, at the customer's discretion.
Non-Refundable Items
The following items are not eligible for return or refund:
- Custom-made or bespoke jewellery designed to specific customer requirements.
- Jewellery that has been resized, engraved, or altered.
- Items purchased during festive sale or special discount events (exchange remains applicable).
- Making charges and wastage charges are non-refundable in all cases.
- Jewellery showing signs of wear, damage, or tampering.
Repair & Warranty
All jewellery purchased from Sri Selvam Nagai Maligai comes with a 1-year free repair warranty covering manufacturing defects such as broken clasps, loose settings, or soldering issues.
- Warranty does not cover damage caused by mishandling, accidental breakage, or normal wear and tear.
- Free polish and cleaning is offered once a year for all purchased items upon presentation of the original bill.
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange
To initiate any return, exchange, or refund request:
